He played college football at Michigan State and was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round of the 1998 NFL Draft.
He played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1998 to 2004 and was selected to the Pro Bowl as the NFC’s special teamer in 2004. He recorded 198 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and two interceptions during his time with the Eagles.
Reese also played for the Atlanta Falcons.
Reese began hosting his own show, “Ike at Night,” on 610 WIP AM in Philadelphia. After that he began working with Howard Eskin on “Afternoons with Howard Eskin & Ike Reese Show” and is now the Saturday night sports anchor for KYW-TV/WPSG-TV Philadelphia. He is also has a show with Michael Barkann on the new 94 WIP midday show, “Mike and Ike,” which airs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Ike is a Community Superhero because he talks to students about the importance of staying in school, volunteering and giving back to their city and communities in his spare time.
He will be on hand at the event to take photos with the participants. Come out and meet our Superhero!
