Superheroes! Tomorrow is the big day! Are you ready?!

Monica Holmes

Author Monica Holmes will be a special guest Community Superhero appearing at the CASA of CGS Superhero 5K and Family Fun Day tomorrow.

Holmes is author of the book, “It Was Not Your Fault,” a true story “about a serious issue to young children on a level that is comfortable for them to relate. It is an emotional, direct, and at times even troubling and honest testimony of a girl’s experience with sexual molestation. It encourages conversations with your children that may otherwise feel awkward to discuss. This book was written with the intention to give birth to hope, understanding and healing. It is a heartfelt story of the power of God and how He never leaves you alone even when you think He has forgotten you.”

Although she had an unfortunate experience as a child and was molested by her uncle, she does not consider herself a victim. Monica reminds herself that she is a woman strong enough to carry the message that God ordained her to share with other people wounded by the same journey. It is her hope to breathe life into other children and people who may not understand or believe that God heals ALL pain! Her contact information is (252) 230-9299 or (252) 281-1185 email:”

Monica says, ” I know that my experience was not in vain if I can empower just one child who has had an experience with abuse, molestation or rape. I feel that I must have been strong enough to carry the message or the experience would never have happened!  I was placed strategically right here to help someone else!

“It Was Not Your Fault” is now available on for $14.95 plus shipping and available on
