Internship Opportunities
CASA of CGS is excited to offer five internship opportunities.
Court Management Intern
This position will offer the opportunity to learn and work within the family court system of Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties. The intern will be responsible for attending court and communicating with court staff, and organizing CASA court reports. The intern will also be responsible for creating a publication of family resources within the three counties. The intern will also write articles regarding child law on a monthly basis to be published on CASA’s website. Preferred fields of study: Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, Law and Justice, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology
Volunteer Management Intern
This position will develop an intern’s skills in nonprofit management and volunteer recruitment and retention. The intern will be responsible for developing community outreach efforts, organizing volunteer appreciation events, and creating a volunteer retention strategy. The creation of an agency brochure will be included in community outreach responsibilities. The intern will also be responsible for volunteer training sessions including organization, research, and presentation. The intern will be expected to assist CASA staff with agency events.

Social Media and Event Coordination Intern
This position will increase an intern’s knowledge of social media tools and nonprofit management. The intern will utilize social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn to promote CASA and increase awareness. The intern will be responsible for updating the agency website and developing the agency’s marketing and promotion strategy. Responsibilities include event development, organization, promotion, and coordination. This position also affords an intern the opportunity to work closely with the Executive Director and learn nonprofit mangement skills. The intern will be responsible for scheduling meetings, attending meetings with the director, making calls, organizing notes, promoting events, and assisting the director.

Program Development Intern
This position will provide an opportunity to develop a new family strengthening program in Gloucester County, NJ. The intern will help to create curriculum to strengthen families in four areas: Finances, Health and Wellness, Education, and Career Advancement. The intern will also be be responsible for developing relationships with local churches and schools to implement the program as well as promoting the program within the community.
