Starting November 1st, CASA of CGS is joining up with CASA of NJ and other CASA programs to promote the #Unselfie Campaign to raise awareness of who we are and what we do in order to increase fundraising time for “Giving Tuesday”, which is December 2nd.
All you need for an “unselfie” is a piece of paper that reads “I Am For the Child” and a camera, preferably a camera phone. Either turn the camera around and take a picture of yourself holding the sign, which is a real “selfie,” or have someone else take a picture of you holding it. Make sure to get the sign in the shot! Then, share that image on facebook and twitter, either with the sample posts provided, or with your own text. Tag your friends and challenge them to do the same, and make sure to use the hashtags #Unselfie and #IAmForTheChild!
New to social media? Not quite sure how to upload a picture or tag a friend? Check out this step-by-step social media guide that walks you through how to share your #Unselfie on social media!

Thanks for everyone who has already jumped on board and have already promoted their #Unselfies to help CASA of CGS spread awareness. Still not sure sure who we are and what we do? CASA of Arizona recently had a great article written in which they made a great pitch on how CASA volunteers are keeping foster kids safe. Read it here.
