Lean On Me: There Is Always Somewhere to Turn

posted in: Blog | 1

Even if your life is going well at the moment, chances are you’ve had your share of low times – times when you feel like there is nowhere else to turn.

Know that there is always someone to lean on. This person may not be immediately visible, but look around, we all struggle, we all have pain. Don’t hold emotions and issues inside. By doing so, your problem will enlarge and won’t have a positive outcome.

I believe we are all familiar with this song:

“Lean on me, when you’re not strong
And I’ll be your friend
I’ll help you carry on
For it won’t be long
‘Til I’m gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you won’t let show

You just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you’d understand
We all need somebody to lean on

If there is a load you have to bear
That you can’t carry
I’m right up the road
I’ll share your load
If you just call me”

There isn’t a single person exempt from the curve balls life seems to throw at us, but, with the proper support system, brighter days will come.

Hang on. Do whatever it takes to focus on the positive.

Henry Ford’s famous lines, “When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it ….” speak volumes about strength and perseverance.

In times of need, you can always lean on CASA of CGS. We are equipped with every resource possible to assist you in making it through difficult times. Even if you just need someone to ‘lean on,’ we can help or put you in the direction of someone that can. It is never the end. There is always someone to hold you up and push you through.
