Hopefully you all fared well in the unexpected winter storm yesterday! I know I was a bit shocked after only expecting an inch or so. But, I suppose snow is to be expected .. it is December after all!
Some children are enjoying the coveted snow day off from school today, while others will take
advantage of the wintry mix when they get home. Whichever the case, I wanted to share these warm, tasty, seasonal treats that the kids will love to make and eat.
Cinnamon snowflakes are extremely easy to make, inexpensive and delicious!
All you’ll need are:
Cinnamon and sugar mixed (powdered sugar would work well, too!)
Butter or cooking spray
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
3. Using the scissors, cut the tortilla just like you would cut out a paper snowflake.4. Place your tortilla snowflake on a cookie sheet, spray with cooking spray (or brush with melted butter) and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
6. Allow to cool, then enjoy! If your kids are “dippers,” try offering pudding cups, yogurt, jams, syrup or honey.
