You'll Get There! Start Small.

Warning: Feeling overwhelmed can happen at any time, with any decision, and with any task.

Although it may seem difficult, one little movement forward will begin to chip away at the bigger picture.

Start small.

That big load of dishes waiting for you in the sink? Wash one. I guarantee you’ll wash another.

Laundry baskets piling up? Fold one, then challenge yourself to fold the next. Before you know it, the basket will finished.

smallOrganizing and paying bills? Grab a piece of paper and pen and schedule just one – the second will surely follow.

It’s getting started that’s the hardest part.

Thinking of making a life-changing decision? Start small. If it’s the right direction, it’ll pan out. If not, you’ll learn and grow from it and eventually find yourself on the right path, thankful for the knowledge you’ve gained along the way.

Maybe you’d like to begin or go back to college, but you feel like it’s overwhelming with day-to-day obligations. Start small. Take one class. You’ll eventually add another, then another.

One foot in front of the other.

To conquer overwhelming feelings, you must start small. Every action toward a bigger goal starts somewhere. Begin chipping away at the huge mountain you feel is an obstacle.

Getting started is the hardest part. Don’t feel like you need to accomplish the entire objective in one sitting. The pressure of finishing could deter you from beginning.

Once you get started on any overwhelming situation, I promise you, in no time, you’ll be looking back, content, all because you started.
