Every day the CASA of CGS team witnesses acts of incredible strength, determination and whole-hearted compassion. The amount of effort advocates put into a case for a child goes beyond physical ability and time. When you pour your heart into your footwork and recommendations, your emotional and mental well-being can suffer. It’s important to remember to take time for yourself to unwind and reflect on the progress you’ve made.
This month, CASA of CGS names Bettyann Jones as the Advocate of the Month for May. Bettyann has been with us since September, 2010 and has been on cases across all three counties. She consistently provides her advocate coordinator with updates and is currently working on two cases. Most recently, she tried her best to make sure one of her CASA children had nothing but the best for her prom. She is always in contact with the schools and the children to make sure they are all receiving everything they need to succeed. Bettyann is also a faithful attendee to our in-services and, without hesitation, offers her support to the CASA program when it’s needed the most at events like the Senate Budget hearings.
We are so very thankful for you, Bettyann! Thank you for every single thing you do for your CASA children, our program and for each of us. You’re the best!
