Thank you Fusion Church for donating to our Back-to-School Drive!

Always eager to collaborate with new people and organizations in our community, we are excited to announce a newfound partnership with Fusion Church!

With services offered in Egg Harbor Township, Somers Point, and a third location opening in Cumberland Christian School in September, Fusion Church is quickly growing their community and spreading their mission to “love like crazy” throughout South Jersey. They are dedicated to filling a need wherever they can as best as they can, from providing care bags to hundreds of local incarcerated people to supporting local hospitals and recovery centers. And as of this month, they added a new community project to their list--CASA of CGS’s Back-to-School Drive!

Led by Outreach Director Heather Knoll, Fusion Church in Egg Harbor Township recently made a generous donation of three dozen backpacks and boxes of pencils, pens, highlighters, crayons, binders, notebooks, and various other supplies to our annual Back-to-School Drive. Their kind donation will help prepare foster youth in our three counties as they transition back to school in the Fall.

“Giving back to the community is so important because not enough people feel loved,” said Heather Knoll, Outreach Director at Fusion Church. “I’ve always wanted to give back as much as I could. I love hearing people’s stories, and I love making people feel included because growing up I didn’t feel that way. I just want people to know how loved they are and how worthy they are.”

With such a kind and empathetic leader at their helm, Fusion Church goes above and beyond to support the people in their community however they can, while constantly reminding them that they are included, they are worthy, and they are loved.

And in order to reach as many community members as possible and spread that love far and wide throughout South Jersey, Fusion Church creates and distributes a monthly “Go Guide” for their parishioners. The guide is packed with local volunteer opportunities to encourage people to get involved and give back where they can. And now, CASA of CGS will be added to that list!

“We are so thankful for the support from Fusion Church,” said Hillary Nichols, Director of Outreach at CASA of CGS. “It’s because of the continued generosity of our community and supporters like Fusion Church that we can do the work we do advocating for children in foster care and their families.”
